ENCO has announced its role as the exclusive distributor for Qimera's suite of real-time compositing tools in North America. This partnership brings advanced virtual production technology to a broader audience, including broadcast stations, corporate environments, and educational institutions.

Demonstration at InfoComm

The collaboration will be on display this week at the InfoComm trade show in Orlando, where ENCO is showcasing Qimera’s capabilities. Attendees can experience a live demonstration of the technology, which includes recording green screen footage and processing it in real-time to produce virtual sets with augmented reality graphics.

Visitors to ENCO's booth (3816) will have the opportunity to interact with the system, manipulating various elements of the virtual production. This hands-on experience is designed to highlight Qimera’s ease of use and flexibility in creating high-quality virtual environments.

Target Markets

The partnership aims to serve corporate and higher education customers looking to enhance their live production capabilities without significant investment. ENCO will also market the technology to broadcast customers for both in-studio and on-location productions, including news, events, and entertainment shows.

Ken Frommert, President of ENCO, emphasized the affordability and accessibility of Qimera’s solutions: “Qimera offers advanced virtual production technology at a very affordable price point, opening new doors for small-to-mid market TV stations, corporations, universities, and visual radio broadcasters that were once priced out of the market.”

Technology Features

Qimera’s tools are designed with modern production workflows in mind. The user interface is intuitive, allowing non-linear editors to create complex virtual sets quickly. Key features include a built-in video switcher that supports four cameras, DMX IP lighting control, PTZ camera integration, and access to a 3D asset library.

Andres Serrano, Vice President of Operations for Qimera, highlighted the company’s commitment to user-centric design: “Qimera prioritizes the end user’s perspective, versus designing the software specifically for engineers. Users can freely modify text, font, colors and images with minimal development effort through our array of available startup assets.”

The 3D asset library is another standout feature, offering continuous updates and immediate access to all customers, streamlining deployment processes.
