At the 2026 NAB Show, Digital Alert Systems will showcase Version 6.0 of its DASDEC™ emergency messaging software and highlight new developments across its alerting and device‑management platforms. Attendees will see how broadcasters are using those systems to strengthen Emergency Alert System (EAS) operations and prepare for evolving ATSC 1.0 and ATSC 3.0 workflows. The company will also introduce the new DAS-Link™ AIR, an over-the-air common alert protocol (CAP) dissemination system for securely transferring validated alert information over ATSC transmissions.

New for NAB: Version 6 Emergency Messaging Software

Digital Alert Systems continues to advance the DASDEC platform with feature development and expanded security. Version 6 is built on a more robust and continually supported operating system that helps protect networked equipment as cybersecurity expectations increase. It provides a stable foundation for future enhancements and makes DASDEC systems easier to maintain.

The update also includes all features from the previously optional Plus Package, giving customers broader functionality within a single release.

Version 6.0 is available at no cost to customers enrolled in the Digital Alert Systems Software Assurance Plan, those who have purchased a new DASDEC unit, and participants in the company’s UP•TRADE program dating back to October 2025.

DAS-Flex™
For the first time at NAB, the company will show DAS-Flex™, which combines the DASDEC™ emergency alerting platform with the D2D Flex ATSC multiplexer. The integrated system is designed to support uninterrupted broadcast operations during emergencies or infrastructure failures. By pairing alerting and ATSC transport, DAS–Flex provides redundancy, reliability, and resilience for a range of broadcast applications.

HALO™
Digital Alert Systems’ patented HALO EAS device-monitoring platform will showcase two new modules:

  • The Software Distribution Module (SDM) provides centralized, in-version software upgrade management for DASDEC devices running Version 6.0-0 or later. Users can upload, organize, and control software upgrade files directly within HALO. Built-in intelligence automatically identifies compatible upgrades for each device, simplifying deployment. Users may push updates to any number of devices and track progress, status, and upgrade history across their full fleet.
  • The Enhanced Configuration Module (ECM) offers clearer oversight of device configuration and alert behavior. It gives engineers and compliance teams deeper visibility into critical settings and alert data within an interface designed for easier navigation and auditing

DAS-Link™ AIR
Digital Alert Systems will introduce DAS-Link™ AIR, a secure data gateway designed for ATSC environments. The system ingests broadcast data via integrated ATSC 1.0 and ATSC 3.0 receivers, authenticates both source and data, and delivers validated emergency information with multimedia elements for use in mission-critical communications workflows.

The DAS-Link AIR provides an authenticated IP feed to external systems in a controlled and secure manner. Use cases include:

  • Retrieval of ATSC 1.0/3.0 datacast alert content by external systems via polling of the DAS-Link remote node appliance, consistent internet-based CAP message workflows
  • Automated ingestion of datacast alert content into third-party situational awareness platforms
  • Polling access for monitoring systems to confirm datacast alert availability
  • Secure access for intermediary distribution platforms that repackage datacast alerts into other delivery formats for downstream users
